Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse - Pediatrics

Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse to join our dedicated team at Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc. As the Care Team Nurse, you will be the clinical leader responsible for maintaining efficient operations, managing high-risk patients, providing education, delivering direct care and laboratory services, and handling telephone and direct triage.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrate infection control practices, including standard precautions.
• Assess and address the needs of pediatric patients and families, providing age-appropriate care and referrals when necessary.
• Provide urgent in-office and telephone triage care, utilizing EMR to document nursing care accurately.
• Facilitate communication among patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer vaccines and medications, perform in-office procedures, and coordinate post-discharge care.
• Maintain ongoing pediatric-centered education and adhere to practice policies and procedures.
• Meet the physical demands of the role effectively.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organization capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the care team.
• Proficiency in handling confidential medical information and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Working knowledge of EMR, Microsoft Office, and email systems.

Educational Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Massachusetts. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Continuing Educational Units (CEU's) are necessary for licensure maintenance. Practice adherence to American Nursing Association Standards.
