Job Description
DISH is seeking a Senior AWS Security Engineer to work within the Information Security department to architect, design, deploy, and test various security controls for applications in the AWS cloud. The ideal candidate will be responsible for solutions development, architectural design, and overarching IT operations and maintenance activities of a secure AWS infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design and development of a multi-account, multi-region, highly automated AWS environment.
- Understand and contribute to the creation of system support documents, operational procedures, and build scripts/Cloud Formation templates.
- Complete ongoing performance tuning, system optimization, and reactive troubleshooting.
- Proactively mitigate business service disruptions with redundancy, backups, and maintain a highly available production infrastructure.
- Provide systems administration functions on AWS infrastructure and support products such as EC2 Compute, S3 Storage, RDS, AWS Networking, CloudWatch, Cost and Usage Reports, and AWS Security.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 8-12 years of experience in IT with 5+ years in Information Security.
- 3+ years working with AWS Security, fluency with the AWS APIs/command line tools, and implementing/maintaining security for cloud-based systems/applications in AWS.
- Excellent knowledge of security technologies, AWS, Linux, DevOps, and project/portfolio management tools.
- Strong verbal and writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
- Scripting language experience and AWS certifications are desirable.

- Compensation: $106,250.00/Year - $143,750.00/Year.
