Job Description
You will provide expert licensing guidance to business areas on state insurance department company licensing requirements. Conduct licensing analysis and identify underwriting companies for use in new licensing initiatives. Manage and file company license applications for insurance companies within the AmFam Group. Report to Manager, Company Licensing.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates, prepares, and files state insurance department company license applications for corporate transactions.
- Monitors corporate governance activities that require company license application filings and DOI notifications.
- Provides expert licensing guidance to Enterprise business areas.
- Conducts analysis of current licensing and writing status to identify underwriting companies for new licensing initiatives.
- Builds business relationships with various entities in the insurance industry.
- Conducts regulatory research and analyzes law sources.
- Administers company service of process and designation of registered agents for surplus lines authority companies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
- Experience with company licensing corporate transactions and required filings.
- Solid knowledge of insurance industry licensing regulatory requirements.
- Experience in conducting licensing regulatory research and analyzing statutes and regulations.
- Experience with licensure compliance of regulated insurance entities.
- Experience working with DOI industry regulators.
- Experience managing and leading multiple large complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with executive-level leadership.
This position is a hybrid role with a minimum of 10 office days per month, offering flexibility, which includes working in a home office. Preferred locations include Madison, WI; Keene, NH; Boston, MA; Minneapolis, MN; Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Nashville, TN; and St. Joseph, MO.
