Job Description

You will be the Senior Company Licensing Specialist at American Family Insurance, providing expert licensing guidance on state insurance department company licensing requirements. Your responsibilities include coordinating, preparing, and filing state insurance department company license applications for corporate transactions, monitoring corporate governance activities, conducting licensing analysis, building business relationships, and conducting regulatory research. You will work closely with Enterprise business areas and regulatory authorities. This role involves managing and filing license applications for all licensed insurance companies within the AmFam Group to achieve company licensing initiatives and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, prepare, and file state insurance department company license applications for corporate transactions
  • Monitor corporate governance activities relevant to company license applications
  • Provide expert licensing guidance to Enterprise business areas
  • Conduct analysis of current licensing and writing status of licensed companies
  • Build business relationships within the insurance industry
  • Conduct regulatory research and analyze law sources
  • Administer company service of process and designation of registered agents
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with company licensing corporate transactions and required filings
  • Solid knowledge of insurance industry licensing regulatory requirements
  • Experience conducting regulatory research and analyzing statutes and regulations
  • Experience managing and leading multiple large complex projects
  • Previous work with DOI industry regulators
  • Ability to work in a hybrid office/home role
