Job Description
You will provide expert licensing guidance to business areas on state insurance department company licensing requirements. You will conduct licensing analysis and identify underwriting companies to be utilized in connection with new licensing initiatives. Reporting to the Manager, Company Licensing, you will manage and file company license applications for all licensed insurance companies within the American Family Insurance Group to ensure the achievement of company licensing goals for various corporate transactions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, prepare, and file state insurance department company license applications for corporate transactions.
- Provide expert licensing guidance to business areas within the company.
- Monitor corporate governance activities triggering company license application filings and Department of Insurance notifications.
- Build relationships with business areas, state insurance departments, regulatory authorities, and industry experts.
- Conduct regulatory research, analyze law sources, and administer company service of process.
- Other duties as assigned.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Experience with company licensing corporate transactions and required filings.
- Knowledge of insurance industry licensing regulatory requirements.
- Experience with licensure compliance, regulatory research, and working with industry regulators.
- Experience managing complex projects and working with executive leadership.
You will be in a hybrid role, working a minimum of 10 days per month in the office, with flexibility in the role. Preferred locations include Madison, WI; Keene, NH; Boston, MA; Minneapolis, MN; Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Nashville, TN; and St. Joseph, MO.
