Job Description
DISH, an EchoStar Company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Senior Cyber Security Manager. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction for the cybersecurity program, aligning it with organizational goals and objectives
- Develop and communicate a clear cybersecurity vision to the security operations team and other relevant stakeholders
- Lead and enhance threat hunting activities to identify and preemptively address potential security threats
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and intelligence to inform and improve defensive strategies
- Oversee the development and execution of an effective incident response plan
- Lead the response to cybersecurity incidents, coordinating efforts across teams to minimize impact and facilitate recovery
- Manage and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning and adaptation to emerging threats
- Evaluate and enhance security operations processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Implement and maintain security tools and technologies that support threat detection, incident response, and overall cybersecurity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, IT departments, and business units to ensure a holistic approach to cybersecurity
- Communicate cybersecurity risks and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner
- Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party cybersecurity vendors and service providers
- Ensure that external partners adhere to the organization's cybersecurity standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable
- 5-8 years in the field of cybersecurity, with a proven track record of progressively responsible roles
- 3-5 years of leadership experience, including managing cybersecurity teams
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and trends
- Proficiency in areas such as threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and risk assessment
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and lead a diverse team
- Experience in strategic planning, team development, and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture
- Demonstrated experience in leading incident response efforts and proactive threat hunting initiatives
- Ability to develop and execute incident response plans, as well as implement strategies for identifying and mitigating potential security threats before they escalate
- Proficiency in communicating adeptly with diverse stakeholders, spanning technical and non-technical backgrounds, including executive leadership
- Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration across departments and the ability to articulate intricate cybersecurity concepts in a lucid and accessible manner

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $115,500.00/Year - $189,000.00/Year
