Senior Mortgage Lender

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Senior Mortgage Lender to join Civista Bank. As a Senior Mortgage Lender, you will be responsible for originating first mortgage loans, promoting the bank's lending services, and contributing to the financial well-being of our employees, shareholders, and local communities. Your role will involve building relationships with referral partners, meeting with customers, processing loan applications, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Travel to solicit first mortgage and home equity loans through referral partners and community activities.
• Meet with customers to complete loan applications and document collection.
• Inform clients of underwriting guidelines and regulations.
• Screen loan requests according to bank policies.
• Propose loan options and communicate approvals or denials.
• Stay informed about legislative changes affecting residential lending.
• Participate in bank credit programs and community events.

Requirements:

• Five or more years of Mortgage Lending experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banking practices, regulations, and compliance.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
