Shop Foreman / Lead Technician - Gouverneur CSD

First Student, the largest school transportation provider in North America, is seeking a Shop Foreman / Lead Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Gouverneur CSD. This role offers a competitive salary of $33 - $35 per hour, plus additional benefits and incentives. As a Lead Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for scheduling and performing maintenance on school bus fleets, supervising technicians, and ensuring operational efficiency in the shop.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians in the shop.
• Generate work orders and track progress.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of vehicle components.
• Monitor and improve shop efficiency.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (willingness to obtain CDL).
• 5+ years of automotive or diesel maintenance experience.
• Previous lead technician or supervisory experience preferred.
• Mechanic's tool set and willingness to participate in ASE certification program.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements.
