Job Description

As a Store Operations Assistant at ALDI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store operates smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness to provide customers with an exceptional shopping experience.

Position Details

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
  • Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
  • Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
  • Provide feedback on products and inventory
  • Participate in store inventory counts and ensure accuracy
  • Adhere to cash policies and minimize losses
  • Comply with company policies and uphold document security
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Efficient cash handling abilities
  • Proficient in operating equipment
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow policies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well independently and in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask
  • Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior retail experience is beneficial
  • Combination of education and experience is considered
