Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the overall store appearance to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Deliver outstanding customer service and assist shoppers with their needs
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with management
- Monitor inventory accuracy and participate in store inventory counts
- Handle cash transactions according to policies to minimize losses
- Adhere to company policies, uphold security and confidentiality standards
- Perform other assigned duties as required
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Excellent customer service and cash handling skills
- Ability to operate equipment and perform cleaning tasks efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior retail experience (preferred)
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Aptitude for multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment
