Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring the store operates smoothly and provides excellent customer service. Your responsibilities will include cashiering, merchandising, stocking products, and maintaining a clean store environment.
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professionalism and act in alignment with ALDI standards.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management.
• Report product issues, inventory discrepancies, and operational concerns to management.
• Participate in inventory counts and maintain accurate stock levels.
• Follow cash handling policies to prevent losses and uphold company procedures.
• Adhere to company policies, ensure document security, and maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
• Ability to offer prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of cash registers and store equipment.
• Competence in performing cleaning tasks as per company standards.
• Understanding and application of company policies and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions efficiently.
• Meet state and local regulations for alcohol sales if applicable.

Educational Background and Experience

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Prior retail experience is advantageous.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
