Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring the store's smooth operation by merchandising and stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Your commitment to exceptional customer service and teamwork will enhance the overall shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role.
• Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, and ensure neat stocking of shelves and merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service, assisting customers with their shopping needs.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
• Offer feedback to management on products, inventory, and any issues for improvement.
• Participate in store inventory counts according to guidelines and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses and uphold company standards.
• Comply with all established company policies and procedures, ensuring document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient and accurate operation of a cash register.
• Safe and proper operation of equipment, including hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
• Capability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, staying organized and attentive to detail.
• Meet all state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience preferred.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
