Job Description
As a Store Team Member at Aldi, you will play a crucial role in the store's daily operations, including merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. By delivering exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to an outstanding shopping experience for customers.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently
- Process customer purchases, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure well-organized merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers with their needs
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
- Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
- Participate in inventory counts as needed and ensure accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies and minimize losses
- Follow company policies and procedures while upholding security and confidentiality standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prompt and courteous customer service skills
- Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking
- Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience is an advantage
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
