Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Store Team Member to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. You will play a vital role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by providing exceptional customer service and collaborating effectively with the ALDI team.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and ensure neat merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Offer feedback to management on products, inventory, and overall store operations
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling procedures and company policies
- Comply with established procedures while maintaining document security and confidentiality
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and company policies
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience is a plus
