Job Description
We are looking for a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team at ALDI. This is a full-time position, and the average work hours are 45 hours per week with a starting salary of $80,000 per year. The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, and storage of products, as well as leading and developing the warehouse team.
Responsibilities
- Establish and modify daily work schedules considering warehouse needs.
- Coordinate job activities and tasks of direct reports on a daily and/or extended basis, in addition to the timing and location of those tasks.
- Oversee the daily receiving of product and/or oversee the daily selection and shipping of product to stores.
- Monitor processes for inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve operating results.
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports, ensuring mutual understanding and desired results.
- Lead, plan, and facilitate regularly scheduled Warehouse Associate meetings.
- Train and develop direct reports to achieve their maximum professional potential to retain a motivated and productive workforce.
- Supervise the timely, accurate, and efficient storage of product, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage controllable expenses and provide appropriate inventory and efficiency results.
- Ensure a safe environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order.
- Comply with established policies and procedures, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook and Procedures Manuals.
- Provide input and recommendations to the Warehouse Operations Manager regarding changes to improve the operation.
- Address warehouse issues, escalating and/or referring concerns to appropriate parties; consistently uphold established standards to ensure equitable treatment of warehouse personnel.
- Recommend personnel for advancement and termination as appropriate.
Job Qualifications

- Evaluate work performance, motivate behavior change among direct reports when necessary, and think critically and resolve problems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to stay organized, multi-task in a professional and efficient manner, and establish goals and work toward achievement.
- Ability to recommend, interpret, and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures; knowledge of products and services of the company.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
Frequently work in varying temperatures, hot and cold, and continuously standing; frequently required to sit, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the warehouse. Frequently required to lift and place product weighing up to 45 pounds on pallets at various heights.
